FORGET THEE NOT

Forget thee not the summer skies

     a laughter's rush a welcome smile

Forget thee not in  winters chill

    the best of you is with you still

Forget thee not in autumns depth

    each leaf that falls puts doubt to rest

Forget thee not the dawn of spring

   heralds its awakening

Forget thee not the gentle heart

   nurtures within; gives out in kind

Forget thee not the higher you be

    the closer things seem within your reach

Forget thee not be it smile or frown

    the capacity to love is your heavenly crown

Forget thee not the candlelight

    one flame of hope kindles many hearths

Forget thee not for every gift received

    the gift of giving far exceeds

Forget thee not a mountain spring

    pure of heart is the child within

 Forget thee not the Phoenix flame

    only burns to live again

Forget thee not the point of view

    seek the jewel in the mirror in me; in you
