Did I know you before today

your eyes are familiar to me

and there’s a touch

that lingers on my skin

is it my imagining

have these lips caressed your face

have these arms felt your embrace

wrapped in one understanding

is it my imagining

And I want to touch you

just to say hello

here in this moment

is the promise of you

Just to breathe you in

to the dreaming

Did I know you before today

your glance leaves me wondering

it’s in your smile

and it’s left unsaid
